.About.
After graduating from Hofstra University with a
degree in F ine Arts, I began to explore and experiment with
new ceramics techniques and materials.
I stumbled upon the idea of combinations using
different clay bodies. The materials' willingness to naturally work
and flow together largely influenced my new collection of functional work. Combining the porcelain and stoneware embodies the
ideas of seamless creation and organic fluency.
As my tastes and skills evolved, so did my themes. The
motifs began to focus on the limitlessness and replication of movement while maintaining the concepts of continuity within clay. The porcelain sculptures symbolize this harmonious idea by exploring movements in infinite space.
Now, after working with a multitude of Brooklyn-based
ceramics artists as their assistant, I have seen the economic and
artistic trials that the independent artist faces. Coupling these experiences with my work exchange at a community studio, one will be able to see I have the ceramics inspiration,
practical knowledge, and studio that an aspiring
artist needs to succeed.
